Look at My Nails! Essie Little Brown Dress

Essie’s winter collection is already on shelves at my local Ulta, but I’m still kvelling over their fall collection. On my nails right now: Little Brown Dress.

The fall collection included two so-dark-they’re-almost-black vamps: brown Little Brown Dress and plum Velvet Voyeur. Both are outrageously shiny (though you know I can’t get enough topcoat. I couldn’t resist my usual Seche Vite + Color Club Vivid combination). Hey, I can see my reflection in my nails!

I love deep dark colors on their own, but they also make an excellent background for sparse glitter topcoats, “flakies,” and stamped designs.

Essie polishes are $8 each (but sales do happen).

This is gorgeous Karla! I love your nails too :)

Currently trying to grow mine out post acrylic and your picture just made me feel even worse about them haha xo

No, don’t feel bad! :) I actually have naturally thin, weak, peely nails. Keeping them polished helps a LOT; I also swear by my Seche Rebuild basecoat.

Ahhh I still need to try this one! Gorgeous =]

That’s gorgeous! I’ll have to look for that the next time I go to my local Sally’s. Fortunately they sell at $6 here, not $8; same for China Glaze. In the end there’s not a real price difference between drug store brands. :-)

That settles it, lemming confirmed. I’ll be getting this dark beauty.
