Guest Swatcher: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

Profound thanks to Sheila of Maddy Loves, who managed to swatch Maybelline’s new Fit Me foundation using those teeny tiny samples (which, in itself, deserves a tip of the hat).

There are 18 shades in all. Sheila is approximately NC25, and wears Dior 020, Jill Stuart 103, and Chanel B20. She guessed that 120 or 125 would be her closest match. She also reports that shades ending in a 0 are more yellow; shades ending in 5 are more pink/peach.

Sheila also says there wasn’t really enough product for her to comment on the texture or performance (and I agree). Those of you who’ve tried it, I’d really love to hear what you think.

I love this foundation! It is lightweight medium coverage with a natural/dewy finish. The colors are fantastic and the packaging is clean and easy to use. I use 120 everyday and 125 when I am tan. It is very affordable at $6.99 and wears well. I get maybe 6-8 hours of really good wear and then it starts to fade. I have not tried it with setting powder. I like the finish and how it feels like your wearing nothing but your skin looks like a dream. It is smooth and skin looks flawless. it has a dewy finish but I really like it for that reason. Some people may not like the dewiness say if you have really oily skin. I have normal skin and love this for a good drugstore foundation!

This is super helpful! I’m nc20 and would most likely go for 120 or 125. Maybelline should be grateful to you guys for doing this. While the shade range is impressive, it’s hard to tell what they’d look like on the skin from looking at the bottles in the store.

Thanks Jessica for the comment – good to know! I have the pressed powder in 120, and it’s amazing the way it doesn’t appear like you have powder on. I use solely to get rid of midday shine, and so far am impressed.
