On November 11, 2009, the New York Times Magazine featured Megan Fox on their cover. In the midst of everything else going on in this striking image, I was captivated by the lips ring on the hand of an unseen stylist.
And in a stroke of total brilliance, to celebrate the launch of their new Rouge in Love lipsticks, Lancome commissioned Ms. Azagury-Partridge to create rings matching three of the shades (Corail in Love, Rose Boudoir, and Midnight Rose). Genius!
The basic idea: you take a photo that represents one of the lipsticks’ three moods: day, dusk, or night. Upload it to Instagram with the tag signifying its time of day (#inlovewithday, #inlovewithdusk, or #inlovewithnight). You must be following LancomeParis on Instagram in order to win.
The photos that get the most likes/comments will win. There will be one winner per mood, each week for three weeks. (That’s nine winners total, three for each mood.) Click here to browse and vote for the photos that have been submitted so far.
Instagram is an iPhone-only application, so if you don’t have an iPhone, you are at a slight disadvantage. You can still enter by emailing a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org. Use the subject line “Color In Your Life,” and (in the body of the email) include your full name, mailing address, date of birth, and one of the hashtags.
There is no limit to the number of photos you can enter (but you can’t submit the same photo over and over, and the photos can’t be illegal).
Only U.S. residents (ages 18 and up) are permitted to enter. The contest is open through March 30 (midnight, eastern time).
